Which deposits are insured? Deposit protection system in Montenegro comprises deposits of citizens and companies, residents and non-residents. All kinds of deposits held with bank under the name of account holder are protected, including current, gyro or transaction accounts and savings deposits, in all banks licensed in Montenegro. As of January 1 st , 2006, when the Law regulating deposit protection comes into the force, all banks become members of deposit protection scheme.
